Hey guys, is it possible to rename a turning point of my route that is not set to a City, VOR or anything else?

In my case I want to use a Highway Intersection as turning point. Instead of of having a "N494643 E0100531" inside my PilotLog it would be much nicer to have it labeled like "Highway  Intersection A3/A7" Is it a feature hidden somewhere or is it just not possible at the moment?

regards,
Julian

Yes. You can create a User Waypoint. In the PC version, go to Waypoints > Create enter the details and when done, click OK. Your new waypoint will be saved locally, but you can also save it to the cloud and then download it from the cloud on your tablet or phone.

On your phone or tablet go to Settings > User Waypoints > Create > Enter Position Manually enter the details and when done tap on the save button. When in User Waypoints if you tap on Cloud you will be presented with options to Open from Cloud or Save to Cloud.

Hope this helps.

The Create Waypoint Here function is not related to any route you have planned, it is offered for all locations on the map where there isn't already a waypoint. It sounds like you're assuming that "here" means the turning point in your route which is near your finger, which isn't the case.

...the only drawback, it happens sometimes that the user waypoint is not exactly where your circle was and you still see the N/E in the PLOG as it appears not to snap automatically to the created user waypoint. If this happens, simply drag the route point to the user waypoint.

That's why it's probably better to create a User Waypoint as described in my post above. You can get the exact co-ordinates you need from Google Earth.
