That wording might just be us being particularly picky. We'll give it some thought, though. It's because as you cross different latitudes the projection requires an exaggeration of the size of features in order to maintain the scale set.

No, unfortunately I don't have access to another printer as it's just running on my home PC!
I also have memory map and can print the official CAA chart without any issues - the only thing I did within memory map was to force the scale to 1:500000. I can see you have an option within SkyDemon but it does use the wording approximate - do you think that could be the issue? If so, it would be great for a later release to have exact scaling!

It is designed to be to scale, but it is possible that once we've handed it off to your printer there is some scaling occurring. Do you have access to another printer?

I'm fairly new to SkyDemon and mainly use it on my iPhone and iPad. Recently I installed it on my PC as I wanted to print accurate (scale) enroute charts. I'm currently training for my PPL and am practicing NAV.

On screen, the charts look to scale - I've even measured distances using my 1:500000 ruler and all looks correct. Once printed, the scale is out - losing about 1NM when measured using the scale in the bottom left corner.

I've checked all my printer settings and everything looks correct.

Is this expected or am I missing something? I did try to do the same from the iPad but enroute chart printing doesn't seem to be an option!
