This week, the plates for LFSB suddenly disappeared after installing the latest chart update. Neither the free French AIP nor the subscribed Skyguide plates are available anymore. Similar problem as the reporting point S some weeks ago?

Actually I don't know what happened. When I posted this, no plates for LFSB as departure airport were available when planning the route. "Find plates" returned also no results. Also after clearing the cache. During flight, the same result: Flew today back to Basel without any plates. Now they are back - at least when using the "Find Plates" option. During normal planning, I still do not get them listed (see attachment).

Now I know what happened: LFSB was defined as home airfield, but it seems that the ARP somehow has moved. When planning with the home button, "another" Bale Mulhouse was selected.

Hard to recognize: Green dot in the waypoint and the only difference in the pilot log is the missing ICAO code and lower case airport name.

I think I know what happened: you actually planned from the heliport, not the airfield. An interesting problem. We will try to think about how it might have happened.

I made some trials: With the default map scale of 500k (when using the home button), the chance to select the heliport when selecting LFSB is 100% on the IPad (route - start again). With 100k, I got a >50% chance to select the correct airport when tapping slightly south of the airfield symbol. The question is: Does it make sense to have a separate heliport on the map which is actually located on the airfield and does not have any individual navigational data, e.g. plates, frequencies, etc. related to.

Have you explicitly turned heliports on? They are off by default. Do you fly helicopters?

No, not that im aware about any changes for the settings since the problem occured. But will check the settings on my device when back home today.

Tim, thanks for the hint: I switched off the heliports now and the problem is solved. As mentioned, I'm not aware about any recent change in the settings. So I assume that this Bale Mulhouse heliport was added recently and created this hickup. Anyway, It's fine now and I don't need the helipads...
