Glad to report have used several times since reporting the loss of precise fix and have not had any further problems

Will investigate.

Latest beta says "seeking precise fix" when you turn on even if "precise" box is unticked.



Previous versions did not do this.

I opted not to increase the tolerance until further tesitng done. Had a coule of short flights today without problem, so will keep an eye on it.

The only situation where you would see a fix in another piece of software but not in SkyDemon would be where your device has obtained an imprecise fix. We require a fairly precise fix in SkyDemon because it is aviation navigation software; other software does not enforce this.

You can opt to allow an imprecise fix in SkyDemon by going into GPS Setup and unchecking the box entitled "require precise fix".

Hi, I am running my SD mobile on my Nats Air Aware device. Took a while to get the com and baud settings to save, but kept trying and eventually ran well.

After 1 hour flight today I received a warning that device had stopped loggin, this was due to not having a satellite fix. The device was visible to 12 satellites but couldn't fix. I turned the device off and on twice, but to no avail. I then inserted the airaware sd card and restarted - it got satellite fix straight away and remained good for the rest of the day.

One good reason and reminder to have a chart with track lines prepared and to hand and to know where you are on it.

I have restarted SD Mobile tonight when got home and it got satellite fix ok.

Any suggestions?
