Hi Tim,

as to your first question: Austro Control acknowledged OAM as a valid data source for aviation data. On a public event someone asked them if that means that these data can be used as legal replacement for charts, they said yes. If you are interested, I can inquire further. Or you can contact them directly.

OAM have published maps for Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. This is a separate thing. They use their own data together with their software to create a map on the fly. This is not what you want. I was just thinking that you could perhaps team up with them and improve your data and coverage since the AIP is only one among several sources for them.

I clicked on that link and got a map, but there was nothing shown in Austria. Also most of the text was upside down. What am I doing wrong?

I certainly wouldn't regard OpenAIP as a reliable source of airspace data. No crowd-sourced database will be.

And I would agree with you there, Tim. However, if you join AIP derived data with crowd sourced information and subject that to rigorous quality assurance, what you get is quite astounding. Open Aviation Map (http://openaviationmap.org/) has managed to get official approval by the Austrian Authorities (Austro Control). You can download full maps for free or get the data. They also offer VACs. Currently there are three countries (Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia) ready for download. But they are going for world wide coverage. Their data is free.

You might want to check with them. Austro Control is usually very restrictive in what the accept. Their having accepted OAM is a big deal.

Many thanks!
Allways good when military disappear and the airfield stays open for peaceful use.

Hi,

Skydemon is perfectly right. This CTR has been removed since june 14.
See AIP SUP n° 079/14 and 089/14.

Notams are quite clear too, not sure why you can't find any!
CESSATION OF ACTIVITY OF THE MILITARY ORGANISATION OF THE DIJON LONGVIC AD AND ITS RELATED SERVICES. REF AIP SUP 048/15 / CESSATION OF ACTIVITY OF THE MILITARY ORGANIZATION OF DIJON LONGVIC LFSD AND ITS RELATED SERVICES. REF AIP SUP 190/14

OpenAIP is not exactly wrong. The new zones are still considered as temporary, and this is why they still show the old ones.
See https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/dossier%5Caicfrancea%5CAIC_A_2014_06_EN.pdf also.

Skydemon does not show the Dijon Longvic CTR / LFSD France. I did not find any Notam regarding it would be withdrawn. In openAIP it is still visible. What happened there? (Skydemon shows me all the others CTR's)
Best regard Claus
