Just place a couple of strategic waypoints to approximate the GAFOR route. It doesn't make sense to plan a route following the GAFOR route religously. As Tim already pointed out, that's not the way you'd  be flying it anyway (you aren't following each turn of the road or valley). Also, GAFOR routes are only a feature in a few countries and wouldn't carry over to the vast majority of SD users.

It may have been. SkyDemon really isn't geared towards such fine-grained routing. How would you even fly such a route, with a constantly changing bearing to next waypoint? The GAFOR routes in SkyDemon certainly do not necessarily follow roads or any other ground feature.

you're rigth but as these routes follows roads or railways in general and they are referred to as "bad weather routes" there isn't a route like a straight line in these cases.

It would be a paramount benefit to have a quick routing feature that simply follows parts of these published routes. Thus I could gain a clear picture of how long it would take (and related fuel consumption)  instead of planning a straight line and following the route anyway.

I remember this request was already raised somewhere in the past, wasn't it?

No, there isn't I'm afraid. The published routes are really just a guide for forecasting purposes and very strict adherence to them isn't expected.

Ah! I hadn't thought of that. Yes, you'd need to consult AIP GEN 3.5 for the country concerned to see what their publication schedule is. Sometimes evening forecasts are only published during the summer. You can also use the Time slider to go back further than just the three two-hour blocks that are displayed by default.

I found the sollution. Everytime I tried it it was already night. The data seems to be published for daytimes only...

the new alpine GAFOR feature does not show up on my iPad mini. It did one time, days ago. The dashed lines are shown but not the GAFOR states. I have the latest iOS and tried to reinstall the app but without result. What can I do? Is there anyone having the same problem? Thanks for your help!
