Tried putting Skydemon on a Omnia 2 (also Samsung) and the same problem - so yes I guess looks like a Samsung chipset issue with their Windows smartphones.

There is no out put reading in any parameter on any setting. The GPS in the E900 appears to work alone or with car navigation software e.g. iGo seamlessly.

Runways, could you go into Settings -> GPS Setup -> Output and let me know what it says for horizontal dop, vertical dop and position dop?

Because a few chipsets don't output the position dop, which is what the warning is based on, we are considering switching the warning to be based on the horizontal dop instead.

I have an E900 tablet PC (Samsung processor as well) using winCE6 and get the same message all the time. SD is not able to see the satellites or give a value. On this device road navigation is straight forward and the GPS works straight away. SD opens up and loads the map no problem. But I tried all sorts of different Com and Baud setting under SD, but it would not work. Therefore I am using two or three other platforms which worked with both SD & Car navigation software straight out of the box.

I have a problem using Skydemon with my Samsung Omnia i900 with Windows 6.1. Everything works fine except that the "Seeking GPS Satellites" warning stays on all the time, however many satellites are in view or are being used. I have been told that this is because the GPS is not giving the skydemon software a value for "Position Dilution of Precision". All other GPS navigation software works fine on this phone.

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem either with a Omnia i900 or other Windows smartphones / PDAs.

Thanks
