Group: Forum Members Posts: 47, Visits: 146	Hi SD-Team, I had the chance to have a closer look at SD at the AERO; again thanks for your time! Now, I am still lacking a tablet and it looks like I have to get an iPad. I am wondering how much storage I should go for!? I'm planning to have the charts and all (!!) VFR+IFR plates for Germany and neighboring countries on the tablet. Maybe for longer trips even more countries. So, very rough guesstimate: Are we talking hundreds of MB?! Or GB? How much are the charts per mid-size country and how about the plates (need IFR, too). Thanks to anyone giving me a number here. Markus

Group: Forum Members Posts: 388, Visits: 8.3K	Hi Markus, Looking in the folders on my Nexus 7 I have: benelux 2.28MB france 4.96MB ireland 976kb uk 4.44MB spain 2.05MB plus about 8 terrain files at 55MB each (covering most of europe east & west) This should give you an idea of the data sizes required. Group: Forum Members Posts: 8K, Visits: 9.1K	You will need a few hundred megabytes if you intend to cache lots of PDF plates for a few countries. The smallest (16gb) iPad is way more than you'll ever need for SkyDemon, but if you want to use the iPad for other stuff too (videos, music etc) then you'll have to make that decision.
