when you use SD for transmitting a flightplan it adds the phrase "SUPP INFO RQS KBLIHAEX" into field 18. What does that mean? KBLI is an airfield in the UK but the rest?

Ah, ok. Went over it too quick. Bellingham, WA US. Nevertheless I would like to know why SD sends it in every flightplan.

That is notice to the towers which receive a copy of your flightplan. Supplemental information is not sent along with your flightplan, as per ICAO standards, but that notice tells the controllers how they can receive a copy of the information if they should need one (in the event of search and rescue, for example). KBLIHAEX is the AFTN address of our flightplan gateway.
