I recently downloaded SD for ipad and I'm using gns 2000 , I am really interested in purchasing the full program. Can someone tell me in the trial version after 30 mins navigation is it normal that the gps position doesn't work using external gps but it does show a position if using wifi at home???

See my earlier posts regarding this topic; SD doesn't work with the GNS2000 as Skydemon is only capable to process talker_ids with “$GP…” of the NMEA data records.

You can get a Firmware update from GNS, however, GLONASS funcionality won't work anymore...

Thanks for that I don't understand any of the technical jargon i'm afraid . but why does it work for 30 mins every day get a yellow aircraft symbol?

I just don't want to spend €200 on the full version if i'm only wasting money.

Can you also tell me do I need to connect the gsn 2000 to my pc at any stage. I have only paired it with my Ipad and haven't had a chance to fly using it yet but i did have it work in the car and gs increased and my position seemed very accurate.

tbflyer, that information is only correct when using SkyDemon on a PC. On iPad and Android, it works just fine with GLONASS receivers.

tryan, SkyDemon will only cut out after 30 minutes during your trial, or if you have a basic (planning only) subscription. If you have a full subscription, that will unlock full and unlimited navigation functionality.
