Hi there,

I am new to skydemon and plan to use it with an iPad mini. Currently I am using Flightplanner/Skymap on a PNA.

1) Is it possible to change the orientation on an iPad mini - as I am using (planning to use) a kneeboard an therefore only have a portrait orientation.
2) Is there any overview on the available approach charts. Here in Germany there are the DFS or Jeppesen ones and I really like to know the pricing before switching to SD and iPad. Could I also buy just one VAC or (as usual) the whole bundle for a certain country. Furthermore I am interested in pricing and availibilty for other countries (Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, and so on).

Unfortunately I couldn't find any comments on these ones...

Thanks a lot,
Joseffe

Hi,

I'm just doning the same as you do (I'm also German).

1) For the map rotation. You can set the iPad to keep the orientation in Settings -> General -> Use Side Switch to: Lock rotation (German: Einstellungen -> Allgemein -> Seitenschalter: Ausrichtungssperre) and toggle with the mute-flip from the iPad!
So before every flight I just use the mute switch to lock portrait mode and release after the flight.

2) The price for the DFS-plates is here:
www.skydemon.aero/store/dfsvfraip.aspx (something around 77€ last week when I bought it)

Feel free to ask, if something is unclear.

Best regards,
Robin Seidelmann
