After some flawless flying (not me -- SD) I have to admit that the software is in great shape once again and I haven't had a crash (not me -- SD) for quite some time.
To reduce cockpit workload (not SDs -- mine!) it would be good if SD could have an option to zoom in/out automatically dependant upon current ASI and location. This would allow for departure taxiing using Pooley's charts followed by switching to SD's charts when appropriate on climb out and visa versa when inbound to destination.
Quite a few road based GPS systems have this feature where the speed of the car determines the zoom level.
Just a thought

I think we would annoy far too many people doing this automatically, personally. Everybody would want it to do something slightly different.

I agree, Steve. It would annoy me if the map uncommanded,y changed scale on me. I want to be in control of this.

I drive an automatic which also has paddle shift when I want to be in control or feel that the car hasn't got it right.
AUTOMATIC --- ON
AUTOMATIC ---OFF
It's surprising how often I prefer to remain in automatic mode and let the electronics do the hard work.
Just a thought.
