In SD running on the PC there is a menu under Setup... which allows me to creat custom data. This is, e.g., useful to add visual rep points which are not shown on the chart. So I went ahead and entered some rep points, and they show up just fine on the map on the PC.

Now, when I go flying I will be taking my iPad along. Therefore the obvious question: how do I transfer these custom data from my PC to the iPad?

I haven't had time to look but as far as I can remember, you can save your waypoints to the 'cloud' or your PC and then when on your ipad, just download them from the cloud.

This is actually an interesting point. Being away at work I am unable to try it myself but would like to know if the cloud solution would work. Please keep us posted.

I think that was how I imported the BGA turning points.

When in skydemon > Setup > Waypoints > Tools > Open from Cloud, I think that should do it.

We are talking about two different things here, apparently. What I am referring to is NOT the waypoints. I know that you can save them to the cloud on the PC and open them from the cloud on the iPad.

I am talking about "Setup > Create Custom Data" NOT "Setup > Waypoints". With custom data I can enter my own airspace, airfields, obstacles, etc. This is not a simple user waypoint thing.

My question is: how to I get these Custom Data from the PC to the iPad?

Why can't you do it through itunes, I've not had my ipad very long and so I'm still learning about it, but I just created a disused airfield, saved it and then took a look and I can get to the custom data folder and the file which is sat on my 'C' drive, I didn't load it, but could have done if I had clicked 'add'

I couldn't find this described in the documentation either, how to use it yes, but not how to transfer it to the IPAD. Maybe Tim could provide us a direct link?
