Just downloaded the latest version (2.4.2.16291) from the tinterweb but whilst planning my trip to France this weekend I get an error message in the 'Flight Details' tab saying "The journey requires more fuel than the selected aircraft can carry". I try to add fuel, but there does not seem to be the "Planned" slider facility in the fuel section to do so.

I have SD on my laptop and Ipad and have not upgraded but have the "Planned" in the flight details tab and can add fuel.

If you don't see a way of specifying fuel, go into your aircraft setup, specifically the weight and balance loading points section and ensure that there is actually a fuel tank defined. If there isn't you can add one.

Thanks Tim,

When I specified the aircraft I used a generic aircraft as the model and just renamed 2 load points as Front Fuel and Rear Fuel. Now I have seen that fuel needs to be specified as such, it all makes sense.

I am having the same problem having used a generic aircraft for my Glasair.

Please can you explain in more detail how to solve this problem with an example of entries into the weight balance section.

Thanks

Chris

Give us a ring if you need more help, as it's hard to guess on here what you might be doing wrong. If you create a new aircraft and edit it, you'll start off with a generic aircraft with a valid fuel tank.
