I have just updated my i- pad and found the platetab but when I pull it no plates appear. Do I have to download, buy or what do I do to view the plates.

Am I missing something here? Please help with the procedure.

Check the "Filtering" options at the top left of the "Plates" window. Make sure you have Instrument approaches, Arrival and Departure charts all set to "On". You will then see an Instrument Approach chart with VFR information. I haven't seen this in other countries. France for example keeps the VFR and IFR charts completely seperate. Maybe Austria combines them to save paper and space!
