There are duplicated airports at Barcelona (LEBL) and Girona (LEGE). Also LEGA, LEGR, LEZL, LERT, LETO, LEST and possibly others as well.

The lower limits of all class E airspace around Alicante, Valencia, Zaragoza and I think most other places is incorrectly shown as 300m AGL.

Edit: Add LEMP and LEZG to list of duplicated airports.

Our airfield data for Spain is about to be completely refreshed with new data and this should resolve any duplication you're currently seeing.

On what basis do you believe the class E lower limit of 300M AGL to be incorrect? I will look into this for you.

Hi Tim,

I can confirm this - I have noted the same error in FIR Barcelona when planning a trip to Spain.

SD shows that Barcelona TMA airspace D starts around 1000 ft agl over the whole FIR whereas the AIP shows that the D airspace starts at different levels defined by different Max Alt Sectors.

For instance flying north of Sabadell (eg. to La Cerdanya) goes from the Max Alt Sector of 3500ft over 4500ft to FL80. This is also depicted on Jepp 500 chart.

Thanks for looking at this.

Unfortunately those VFR sectors are not currently published in a reusable format in the AIP (with coordinates) so, while work is ongoing, progress is slow and the airspace is currently shown according to its main definition in the AIP.

Hi Tim,

I waited until today's chart update arrived before replying in case things had changed but these problems are still there.

One example using the area of Valencia TMA over the sea to the East of Alicante airport at N381500 W0000000

This should be (Spain AIP ENR 6.13.9)
Class D from 300mAGL to 2000ft
Class A from 2000ft to FL125

This is shown in SkyDemon as
Class E from 300mAGL to FL195
Class A from 300mAGL to FL125 (overlapping!)

These errors are repeated throughout Spain. The base of class E airspace seems to be mostly depicted on SkyDemon as 300m AGL whereas is varies considerably from place to place. The controlled airspace above the class E is also shown with incorrect base levels overlapping the class E below.

As mentioned elsewhere, this airspace is defined in the Spanish AIP ENR section and depicted according to that definition in SkyDemon. What is currently missing from our chart is the VFR sectors, promulgated only in a chart, without any coordinates. There are efforts underway here right now to get these sectors into SkyDemon but it is likely to take at least another couple of weeks.

I also have this issue which seems to be persistent. The Valencia TMA as depicted by SD is different from the VAC chart (downloaded thru SD). The latter shows the Class D starting at various altitudes varying between 1000 and 4000 ft whereas SD shows a floor of 300 m (984 ft) throughout.
