This is my first post on the SD forum. I drive a G1000 which can receive a flight plan from an SD card. Can anybody please explain, in simple terms, having created a route in Skydemon, how do I put that route onto the SD card?

This is how you would do it normally to transfer it to a device, I'm not sure if this is what you are after or not.

If you are using a PC with SD on it to create your route, then insert your card into a card reader and then go to 'Setup' > 'Device connectivity options' > 'Install Skydemon on a Windows CE device' > Choose the drive and click next. Everything including your route is now on your card.

Thanks for that. When you say "everything including your route is now on your card" will that then be OK to load into the G1000?

This is the bit I'm not sure about. What I've decribed is how to do it using a WinCE device, I have only just looked up what a G1000 is and so I doubt what I have told you is of any use to you, sorry about misleading you.

If you do a 'search' on the forum, I remember reading other posts about changing the file extensions so routes can be synced with Garmin devices
