have deleted the program and reinstalled it on several occasions
By "deleted the program" You mean You physically deleted the folder where the program was installed, or did You uninstall it using the normal procedure (open Control Panel, double-click "Add/remove programs" icon, select SkyDemon on the app list and click the "remove" button)?
You didn't tell me if You applied updates to the .NET Framework, maybe some of them could give problems with SkyDemon. It would be useful to know which version of the .NET Framework is currently installed in Your Windows XP. By the way, I installed .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and 4.0 in my WinXP machine, and SkyDemon runs just fine.

Filippo

I'm not to sue what the .NET FRAMEWORK is
The .NET Framework is a set of software libraries and components that are required to run certain software applications, such as SkyDemon. There are different versions of this framework. Most software products that rely on the .NET Framework need at least version 2.0 of this framework. Different versions of .NET Framework can co-exist in the same PC without problems.
Normally, the .NET Framework can be installed directly from within Windows Update. Newer Windows versions (such as Vista and 7) have it installed by default. This is not the case with Windows XP, and therefore it is necessary to explicitly install it through Windows Update as I said before, or downloading the setup package directly from the MS Download Center web site.
Anyway, glad to know You managed to make SkyDemon run.
Best regards,
Filippo
