Just wondering why ILS paths don't show, at least not on the 30day trial download.  I find them valuable when getting around busy places whilst flying relatively low and slow.

I don't see town names on the chart, but have seen them on the website demonstrations of SD, Are the bought charts more detailed and thus have town names?

No criticism here, I think the product is marvellous and have hardware on way. Will be buying as soon as the hardware arrives.

Apologies, unable to edit my opening post.

Towns.... I found the toggle Smile

Just curious about ILS paths, why they aren't shown. Or, have I missed another toggle?

What's an ILS path? If you mean an extended centreline, these are shown when the next waypoint is your destination airfield or when you have nominated your landing runway (available in the current beta).

They are like an arrowhead into the runway, depicted on CAA 250k charts.

Shown at aerodromes having one or more IAPs outside controlled airspace. Such as Norwich (for a little while yet) , Manston, Lydd etc.

Whilst plodding aong at circa 75mph below 2000ft, I've always contacted the airfield concerned when passing in the vicinity,as I wouldn't want to spoil somebodies IAP training session for the sake of good communications and considerate airmanship.

But if it isn't practical to have that feature, I will lve with it Smile
