Not used for a long time due to lack of decent hardware so a bit rusty. Hope I'm not missing something obvious.



1: When I try and print enroute charts, why is the background/whole page blue instead of white? (in print preview). Assume its going to therefore print like that and use enormous amount of ink.



2: When I open a route, why is the date 3 months old from when I last used it? Why not automatically show the current date, which is more than likely the day when I am going flying? (unlikely to be a previous date)



3: Why is it such a tiny and fiddly box to change the date and time (it is on my screen resolution) , surely this can be improved?



4: Why would you need to save the plan on exit just because you have changed the date and nothing else?

Just opened an old route and the weather window shows expected departure for today  .. here there is a slider where you can change departure time (so you do not have touse the small buttons; plus there you can use the keyboard to change the date & time). Also the need for saving is that if you sync with your mobile device, then it needs to save the NOTAMs and weather briefing to make them available in flight.

Re printing, my charts are white background and print as such - using the SD chart format rather than CAA etc.

Are you running latest beta with latest charts  ..may have something to do with it.

Re hardware quite a lot has changed in last few months but as yet no 100NIT 7" device!!

The blueness when printing charts is a bug we're looking at. It appears to affect only print preview and not actual print output.

The selected takeoff time is part of your flight plan so if you have chosen to specify one, it is saved along with your route. When loading the route later we intentionally don't fiddle with it.

Did not realise you could get different windows at the bottom, thought that was just for VNAV.

Pleased the blue print is a bug and not me doing something silly.

Using SkyDemon for planning only. Garmin car GPS in flight, not ideal but only type sunlight readable.

Anything new in pipeline? Desperate for a decent GPS next year, 5" OK. Tried 3 x Chinese and 1 x Navsgo but no good.
