I have been using Skydemon for over a year now and I swear by it - but occasionally AT it!

I have a SkymapIIIC GPS and like to download the logs into Skydemon. After trying several RS232 to USB converters I have found one that sometimes works, usually needing 3 or 4 tries before it runs. If I have flown several sectors, these then appear as separate logs - fine so far! I then highlight the first one, give it a name, select 'save to Skydemon log folder' then click OK. The log is saved, but the window then closes, so I then have to download the logs again (after several more tries!) so that I can save the next log - and so on. My blood pressure can't stand much more!

What am I (or - perish the thought - Skydemon) doing wrong?

I don't suppose you're doing anything wrong. If it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't there's probably something about the physical connection that is sub-optimal. I don't think there is much we could do about this in the SkyDemon software to be honest.

It's not so much the connection problem that bothers me - I can live with that.

It's the fact that the window closes after I have saved one track, if the window stayed open I could the save all the tracks that have been downloaded.

The window's purpose is to open one flightlog, not many. I'm afraid we couldn't justify changing the fundamental design of the window on the strength of IIIc connections sometimes being unreliable.
