Would it be possible to say, view the aerial photo of an area and use an apple pencil to circle a town or place enroute ( so you can avoid) and switch back to the uk caa/nats chart and see the circle / markup? ( avoid villages etc which are not already marked up). There is no way of identifying the places on the uk caa/nats charts. The circle / markup can then be erased with the pencil ( can be used iPad and Apple Pencil or android tablet and pencil)

It's an interesting idea, and not the first time we've heard it, but we don't hear it very often. Creating a user waypoint is the easiest way to get something from the aerial photography view into the other map.

Tim
many thanks for the reply.
For me it's easier to see a e.g. a red circle around a village than a small blue dot and its temporary in my flight planning or in creating a joining / circuit where there is not a published one. I mainly fly to unregulated farm and smaller airfields fields

Kind regards

Wayne

You could always try the custom airspace tool on the windows version to create such circles, but that may be a bit cumbersome for such short term requirements.

Thanks for the head up on the desktop version as an options. I think I have only used the desktop version a handful of times when planning my fly uk routes. I will give it a go later

cheers

Wayne
