I have been using SkyDemon for years now. And I must be honest, I find it more user-friendly than similar apps.
My challenge is manually uploading my flight routing onto the Garmin G3X or GTN650 on the aeroplane.
I want to ask if there is a more easier way to sync my flight plans?
Thanks

You can export to Garmin Pilot and FlightStream it to the panel.

Hi Adam

Can you confirm whether it is possible to upload an FPL directly from Skydemon into a Garmin G3X if I have a suitable Bluetooth connector plugged into the RS232 port of the G3X - i.e NOT via Garmin Pilot software? Thanks

I would try exporting your route from SkyDemon in .gfp format, saving it to your NavData card in a folder named ‘FPL’, which you will probably need to create.

You should be able to upload that into your GTN flight plan catalogue.

Hi Graham

Thanks but that method is likely going to take longer than just creating the FPL in the G3X!

I understood that SD now allows direct transfers of radio and FPL data to certain 3rd party avionics but I can't find any recent update on connection to the G3X.....I know I can plug an RS232 Bluetooth dongle into the back of the G3X but not clear whether it will accept the data from the SD...

No Rod, that kind of RS232 connection is for transfer of radio frequencies and sometimes autopilot data. Generally it does not transfer a route in the way you want.
