re: http://forums.skydemon.aero/Topic38034.aspx

Would be nice to be able to input the current pressure setting in flight details and have any legs and airspace boundaries defined in Flight Levels displayed somewhat accurately on the radar.

Should reset to 1013.25 every time you start a new route in planning, or Go Flying without a route.
This is to (a) maintain current standard behaviour for those who don't want to use it and (b) not catch you out when you next go flying.

Extra optional, an setting to enable a prompt for the current pressure when you Go Flying and the planned pressure is 1013.25.  Option off by default.

This is an interesting one. Internally, this is kind of supported, but we've never exposed it because we've never been sure how useful it would be. At the moment we always assume a pressure of 1013.25 when "converting" from a FL to an altitude.

We can already know the local pressure at sea level, either from a METAR or by asking the user. If the user enters it, AND we assume a standard decrease in pressure with altitude, we COULD "adjust" the bases of controlled airspace to more accurately reflect an altitude AMSL. This would also apply to your planned route, if you'd planned it by FL. It would make airspace warnings slightly more accurate, along with their depiction in virtual radar.

However, this is complicated stuff (by our usual user interface standards) and I'm not sure most of our users would appreciate it, frankly. I await the input of others in this thread with interest.

If you were to implement this, I'd be very happy with it being off by default.  I agree, it's probably a niche requirement by virtue of many pilots avoiding airspace entirely, especially the higher ones where FL bases are used.
