Why does the W&B calculation with graph for a planned flight only work with Cruise fuel to determine the difference between Takeoff and Landing weight and CoG?

On the amounts set in the Aircraft Properties, the manual says:
Taxi/Takeoff specifies how much fuel is required for the taxi and takeoff phase of the flight.
Landing specifies how much fuel is likely to be required from arriving overhead at your destination to shutting down the engine.

Although I consider Takeoff to be the portion from start of take-off roll to clearing obstacles, I understand Taxi/Takeoff fuel is assumed to having been consumed 'at Takeoff' because there is one amount for the whole, and likely more of it consumed by start-up, taxi and engine check than the take-off itself.

For Landing however, it seems the opposite to me. The major consumption of that portion would be flying the circuit (be it from overhead or other joins) until touch-down, and it is definitely the most important part of this allowance vs. taxiing in. The Weight and Balance calculation however does not include this part to calculate the difference between Takeoff and Landing.

I could not find an answer to this in existing topics, thanks in advance.

Where it shows W&B calculations for takeoff, it assumes that the amount you've specified for taxi/takeoff has already been consumed.

At landing it has then deducted all the fuel estimated as being necessary for the cruise.

I am unsure of the question, sorry. If you believe any calculation to be wrong, please let us know, but I am unaware of any issue in this department; these calculations have worked the same for many years.

Tim, thanks for your reply. I do not believe anything to be wrong, I was just puzzled somewhat.

In my mind, the weight 'at take-off' would be the weight at the moment take-off power is applied - but this is a very minor issue, as said, and we can forget about it.
Being presented a W&B result for 'Landing', I had assumed this is the situation when arriving back at the surface.
The idea behind both interpretations is having W&B within limits all the time while airborne and checking this by means of calculations, which I higly appreciate as a SkyDemon function.

I understand now the presented results consider the situation right after take-off, beginning the climb and joining the circuit for landing, respectively. That is perfectly fine of course.
Finally, I appreciate all of this may not even be of any significance on many flights. It does get interesting on short flights with a small amount of fuel, which is where my question arose from.

Again, thanks for your help, all clear on my side.
Erik
