Hi,
I have an IPad air 3 in a RAM Mount. On warm days the IPad is getting hot but it don't shut down. It loose WLAN connection to the AT-1 collision warner. Sometimes it reconnects, sometimes not.
Plane is a VAN's RV6 and the IPad is in direct Sunlight.

I am looking for an alternative (Android?) or an other sollution for the Problem. Is it possible to clock down the IPad ?

If you have fresh air vents try and position iPad to receive blast of air to rear surface .
It works for me using an iphone6 .

I had a similar issue with my old iPad mini 3.
At direct sunlight, the automatic brightness adjustment turned the display to maximum brightness which led to overheating. I reduced the brightness manually and the iPad cooled down significantly.

Hi there, I have issues with my ipad pro overheating in use in direct sunlight in normal applications other than SD, shade the device or provide cooling air.
