Hi, First post on here as I explore SD.  I've used PocketFMS in the past and currently have MM running 250k charts on this tired old laptop and a Chinese 5" GPS unit in my aircraft.  The decision is made and I intend to buy SD 'Plan' for my UK and European planning/nav.  I'm sure I will be able to sync the the Chinese unit with the laptop. However, I'd like to also run the plan software on a Netbook type device for planning whilst away from home.

Q: Would the SD Plan software work on a Win CE 6.0 WiFi Netbook device? (128MB Ram with USB and SD card slots) 

Q: If I get the above type Netbook, would a GPS dongle work on it? 

Q: Is it a universal standard to have a 12v plug in for Netbooks?

I know I'm asking some very absic stuff here, but as an 'IT' numpty I'm not afraid to ask daft questions

Thanks Mark, You've answered one of my questions in your last para.  I will get a Netbook with Win 7 for planning when away from base.

Perhaps I can help with your questions..  I suspect that you wont be able to run 'plan' on a CE device. But I standby to be flamed on that one. That is why I was seeking confirmation about choice of Netbook.

I would expect that SD Plan is designed to work on a PC, rather than a simple mobile device, you would then sync it with your mobile device.  So, your Windows 7 would be ok, but probably not a CE device.
