Hi

This has been mentioned in various places, but I thought I'd stick it here as an official 'suggestion'.

I believe it would be extremely useful if there was a live plog - by which I mean a screen which at a glance shows you the ETA (and maybe distance) to all your waypoints.

Twice last weekend I was asked to report an ETA at a particular point, and both times, because that wasn't the next waypoint, there was no easy way of doing this.

Cheers,

Steve

Since you can scroll through each leg in SD mobile while flying and see the time and distance to each waypoint

How do you do this? If you can do this, then my 'problem' doesn't exist, and therefore my feature request is not needed. But I've just fired it up again and I can't see any way of finding an ETA to a waypoint other than the next one or the destination.

and since you can download the track and compare with PLOG afterwards, I am at a bit of a loss as to what REAL functionality re navigation in the cockpit this would really add.

Being able to download the track afterwards is irrelevant if you've got an ATC unit asking you for an ETA to a particular waypoint... I though I'd already given a pretty good explanation as to why I think it would be useful...

Yes it might be interesting but for my money there are other development priorities for Tim and his team (faster maps, no out of memory crashes, export routes to PNDs, Garmins etc from SkyDemonWeb .. to name a few).

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one then:-

Faster maps: it's plenty fast enough on my device

Crashes: mine has never crashed once

Export to PND from Web: going to be very difficult if not impossible without some kind of additional software as for quite obvious reasons, software running in the browser cannot (indeed should not) access your local filesystem.

SkyDemonWeb, as great as it is, isn't the product I committed to and paid for. I'd argue the opposite - which is that SkyDemonWeb shouldn't slow down the continuing development of the mobile and desktop version.

I'm not saying that either of us is right or wrong, just that different people have different expectations and needs and that there's no point posting on the suggestions thread stating that you think your requirements are more important than someone else's. That's up to the SkyDemon team to decide.
