Hello,

I have a very annoying problem with the latest version of Android. If you minimize the app to briefly answer an SMS message or check a web page, the logging will stop since there is no GPS provided by the system to the background apps. 

There is a new function in Android OS that must be used in order to get builtin GPS access as a background service and the app should be updated. It's very annoying to merge several legs EVERY TIME just to get a (barely) working log.

Please update it. Thank you!

Hi,

I never noticed it before but a flight I made last weekend but yes, something should have changed at the OS level, because even opening a PDF plate from SD now stops GPS reception (which basically is the same use case => Switching SD to background).

Hi,
I noticed the same issue here on my last flight. Also when openings the pdf viewer for a chart from inside SD. Since I have recently upgraded my tablet with android 8.0 (oreo), I'm not sure, whether this problem origins from the new OS version or from one of the latest SD updates.
