Hi Tim

You just solved this riddle - thanks a lot :-)

It works for me with ”55,9876543;-9,8765432” using comma as the decimal seperator and semicolon as the latitude/longitude seperator.

This little change of seperators is no problem at all.

If I type "32,23" into that box SkyDemon correctly interprets it as 32N 023E. Your region settings might be different from mine so you might need to use a semicolon or something to separate the two values.

Hi again

Yes, I use comma as the decimal seperator.
However, I’ve just tried the below notations without luck (Save is disabled):
* 56,1168818 8,9517898
* 56,1168818.8,9517898
* N56,1168818 E8,9517898
* N56,1168818 E008,9517898

Just below the input field for the location is this sentence:
* Formats: N5101,92 W00221,90 N510155 W0022154

It seems like the only valid formats for my location is (Save is enabled):
* N5607,01 E00857,11
* N560701 E0085706

Are you in a country/locale where a comma is used instead of a period for a decimal separator? If so, you'll need to enter the numbers in your own number format before SkyDemon will recognise them.

Hi again Tim
Now I was able to reproduce the described situation.

‌In Google Maps (maps.google.dk) I search for the footb‌‌‌all stadium "MCH Arena".
I rightclick on the marker and choose "Whats here?" and click on the location "56.117268, 8.950970". Then I can select this location and use copy-paste to create a user waypoint at this location with the name "MCH Arena".

If I try to do the same on my iPad with the Google Maps app, the same functionality is NOT possible.
I search for "MCH Arena" and tap-and-hold on the football stadium.
The location is displayed as "(56.1168818,8.9517898)" and then I copy this location including the brackets.
In the SkyDemon iOS app I create a user waypoint with the name "MCH Arena" and choose to enter the location manually.
If I use the copied location "(56.1168818,8.9517898)", the "Save" button is disabled.
If ‌I remove the brackets, the "Save" button is still disabled.
A workaround is to use some algebra to convert the location to N560701 E0085706 and then the "Save" button is enabled.

I miss an option in the SkyDemon iOS app to accept user location with a format like "(56.1168818,8.9517898)" copied from the Google Maps iOS app‌‌‌. If possible SkyDemon should ignore the brackets, but I can of course easily remove them by myself when using copy-paste on the iPad.

Hi Tim

I've just tried to reproduce the error without luck (which is great in this situation).
After I search for a location in Google Maps, I can rightclick on the marker on the map and choose "What's here" and then I will get a location in a copy-paste format‌‌.

‌So ... once again thanks‌ for a great application Smile

SkyDemon accepts most common formats for inputting waypoints, including the raw decimals separated by a comma or semicolon (depending on your locale). So we almost certainly already do what you're asking. If you can't get it working, let us know exactly what you're typing into which box and we'll get back to you.

Hi again

Even though I can see the coordinate in the bottom right of Google Earth, I still hope SkyDemon Team would implement support of coordinates in the Google Maps format.

The main reason for this is that I can use copy-paste of the coordinate from Google Maps and secondary Google Maps is a little faster to use 😃
