What is the criteria for a spot height to be displayed?, Ive found them as low as 1,050' but there are many peaks far higher and rising more abruptly above the surrounding landscape with no info beyond shading, so what determines their appearance on the chart?

We do not pick and choose spot heights. They are included in cartographic data which we license, and are generally designed to show mountain peaks or passes or other heights very different to those around them. There isn't a slider control we can use to simply increase or decrease their number.

Understood, but why so few in comparison to the CAA charts?, I understand and appreciate the guard against clutter, but it would be usefull to have more spot heights in mountainous areas, these areas are generally not cluttered with other surface features anyway.
