5, so far.  The upwards and downwards swipes to get into and out of Instrument view.

The sideways swipe to get into 'direct to'

From direct to, downward from top of screen to access keyboard and upward to get rid of keyboard. This one on my device is a bit hit and miss and it has crashed  a couple of times doing it.

No it's 6,  When in instrument view, run your finger up the right hand side to go to 'message field'

Oh dear, now I feel bad. I don't think there are actually any beyond swiping to the right on virtual radar to activate direct to (which is easiler than double-clicking the SkyDemon orb) and swiping up and down to switch views. We briefly toyed with having a left swipe on the virtual radar reverse your planned route but eventually dismissed it.

On a serious note, gestures are a good way of providing easy access to very commonly-used features, or feature that need to be accessed in a hurry (direct to) and any suggestions for things that should be accessed via some kind of gesture will be noted.

Thanks Tim, but the keyboard does appear in the 'direct to' window by tapping the top of the screen.

That's correct, when the input cursor is within any textbox in SkyDemon the onscreen keyboard appears; this is standard.

Hi Tim

can you add a Skydemon keyboard that uses the standart dpi settings and thus would allow for standardized buttons sizes.

the default win 5 or win 6 keyboard is very small..now that I have a 800x480 display it is almost unusable.

As the software itself requires character input you should really consider having you own onscreen keyboard.

How about it?

I agree, but there is a cost associated with developing our own onscreen keyboard. Our resources are devoted elsewhere at the moment. I do want to do it, though.

Hello Tim,

For me this SD is as I have said before fantastic up to last year I was using my Garmin 55 which I purchased in 1990 (and is still working) using SD is incredible and now with the HSI, can’t wait to get it in the air again. I was wondering would it be possible to put a box something the size as the speed/height boxes when in instrument view, showing heading as you have with the chart view in the compass rose.

Just looking at Garston Farm strip which has just been added, its in the wrong place by some 400 m also Abergavenny is according to SD situated on the rail track and on the wrong side of the Dual carriageway will this be a common fault with farm strips on SD.

cheers

Pete

We'll consider adding an actual track readout to the instruments view, but it's where to put it that might be the problem.

Abergavenny appears to be perfectly located in SkyDemon and can be verified by right-clicking and selecting View with Google Maps. I'm not familiar with Garston Farm but if our coordinates are slightly out please report this (along with the correct coordinates) to us directly, so I can pass it on to the guy responsible for this data.
