I flew through the CTR of Firenze LIRQ yesterday and noticed, that the lower vertical boundary of the CTR is not displayed correctly in the virtual radar (or whatever the correct name for the vertical trip profile might be). the CTR reaches from "Surface or 2500ft" to FL145. with "Surface or 2500ft" the italians mean, whichever is the higher altitude. Probably they mention that their ctr does not go underground so that highway traffic passing through tunnels does not accidently call for a clearance even if the tunnel is above 2500ft ;-) .. anyway, the vertical radar shows the CTR always down to the surface even in areas where terrain is below 2500ft. For example at the VFR Reporting point RQS1.

you can see the italian definition ov the vertiacl limits in the vfr approach charts for Firenze, there they write explicitly "2500 ft AMS or SFC whichever is higher"

regards
Pascal
