What is the easiest way of getting a time estimate for when you will reach a point that's "near" to your current route? ie is it possible to click a feature (town, VRP, etc) and get an ETA (either reaching it, or closest abeam)?

Thanks

I only recently tried the "Track Waypoint" feature while airborne and it worked well.
You select the feature on the map you wish to track (not sure it works for towns though), choose "track this waypoint"  and SD give you a bearing and distance from selected point (Nav beacon; airfield; VRP; airways reporting point etc.).
A simple bit of arithmetic required to derive ETA though.

I can confirm that it does work for towns. In fact, it works for any point on the chart.
