I have (finally!) worked out how to create the weight-balance envelope for my aircraft but the calculations are out??

When I work them out manually with max loadings I am inside the envelope, same figures in SkyDemon put
me outside!

I am getting them checked by an LAA inspector but has anyone else had problems like this?

Might have entered them incorrectly, I found the manual a bit sketchy...if anyone wants to have a look I put them
in the cloud - EuroFOX (Microlight) and EuroFOX (LSA) (same but with a different MAUW)

Regards

Chris

PS SkyDemon 3.6.0 on a PC but get the same problem on Android

I had added it to the 'new aircraft profiles' but here it is again again...there is also a 'EuroFOX (LSA)' which is the same but the MAUW is 560Kg as opposed to 472.5Kg for a microlight.

Thank you - but how is this different? I can see you have changed the mm measurements to cm but all this does is produce the same result, albeit with different scales on the graph??

I entered the values in mm because this is the way the weight and balance form is made out, not that this makes any difference - I could enter them in metres, the result would still be the same???

I think the problem is that the fuel collector was displaying a default of 6Kg instead of 4.5Kg - as the collector hold 6 litres of fuel that was what I originally entered the default as but realised some time ago that this was not being calculated in a siilar fashin to the fuel tanks (volume * 0.75) so changed the weight to 4.5 Kg (as it is always full this is not an issue)

However this change did not show in the default values for weight and balance, I had to delete the aircraft, re-import it and restart SkyDemon to get the defaults shown correctly

I also noticed last evening that the Android version of SkyDemon does not allow decimal places to be entered into the default values, 4.5Kg is rounded up to 5Kg - this does not happen when the values are entered on the PC version?

In any event I can work around these issues now I know they are there

Give our support a call, that's the best bet with regard to weight and balance issues. They can talk you through it. SkyDemon's weight and balance calculations are precise, and you may not anticipate how detailed they are. For example, if you're being shown weight and balance calculations for your takeoff, SkyDemon will already have "used up" the taxi/takeoff fuel you've entered for your aircraft.
