Nexus 7 2013 last android versione SD 3.4.4.20895
I tried new satellite function on lot airfield in France , Swiss, Great Britain : the function works and appears a menu to choose the final you interested in.
In Italy's airfield and Airports the new function does not work: not any menu appears choosing satellite view.
Someone notice that in map view italian's airport have a red line to the both sides of runways.
It is possible there is a link between this red lines and the reason that satellite menu do not apperas on these airports?
Tanks

Angelo

Our supplier for Italian airfield data does not currently supply runway threshold positions. I have asked them whether there are any plans to introduce this data.

Would it be AIP airfields you're primarily interested in, or also the strips?

Hallo Tim,
I know that a great part of  SD italian customers fly with advanced ultraligt than can operate on strips ( as you say but named as "aviosuperfici" ad "campi di volo" Wink and on small airports. It is not possible operate on big commercial airport ( as,Pisa, Florence,)
So I think all italian pilots are interested to use the new function either on strip and secondary airports.
I think the new satellite function is a very very useful system to have a real look ( before fly) of final over airports and strips were you go for the first time.
I really hope you can be able to obtain runway threshold positions from your  suppliers (Enav? Enac? Avioportolano?) or if possible change supplier.
I tank you for your kindly interest about the matter
Angelo

I join the Angelo's request about the missing feature satellite view at runway approach for italian airports.
Thanks
