Hi:
When running the install of desktop PC version 3.2, I have found problems. I am installing onto a PC running Windows 8.1 with auto update of windows software. After download, I get a series of 12 messages of the type "External exception C0000006" and "Access violation at address 54A0B487 address 00000000" The latter message repeats with various changes to addresses. The installation then hangs at the accept terms screen.

I have re-run after rebooting the PC, and after disabling anti-virus software. I have also done a Norton registry clean. However the problem persists.

I have searched the web is the "access violation" for the search, but this seems to produce offers of software which may not be trustworthy. I have tried one from a Windows partner, but Norton advised that it was harmful.

Hannah Hart thinks it is a problem with my PC and following her advice (above) did not produce a solution.

Previous updates of SkyDemon have been more or less problem free.

Has anybody else met this problem? Any ideas?

Thanks
Alan.

I can't promise anything, but it might be worth running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It's a free and trusted download -- just Google Malwarebytes. As well as rooting out malware, it also finds Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP's) which can often be an unseen cause of problems.

Perhaps the download has been corrupted on its way to you. We could probably send you the installer by email, if you ask, and that might rule out that possibility.
