I am running the Beta version 1.4.3.19605 which has the excellent new bits - roads/rivers etc.

Now being prompted to upgrade to 1.4.4 - does this include the graphical enhancements? I dont want to lose them?

I flew with 1.4.4 version today. I saw the extended runways centre line, but no 3 degress glide path in this version. Did I miss something?

Also the magnification and with it the extended centre-line need to be scaled so that distances can be judged accurately with one glance at the screen.

I recognise I am a new user of SD but I am keen to use it as the sole GPS in the cockpit to replace my skyforce and Garmin.

Ah, almost forgot to add: An e-DME would have been very hepful in the above. You see the philosophy of flying is all about making Long distances SEEM Short, per unit of time that is; Not to add any more pressure on the already pressurised SD TEAM!

I would like to update one of my requests (map scale) and apologise for the rushed comment regarding the scale as it existed already in the presence of a 10 mile line that projected out of the aeroplane forward. One only needs to select distance representation instead of time and everything would fall in place. The line changes in length proportional to the zooming in or out. I actually think it is ingenious idea to have that line divided the way it is.

So well done again SD Team.

Thanks!

We're still working on when and how we change certain instruments' presentation during the approach phase. At present we basically don't, which works fine if the last waypoint is the destination airfield, which of course it usually does. The DST instrument therefore gives you the distance to the airfield, which only differs from a pseudo-DME in that the DME would technically give the distance to the threshold.
