The help manual is fine. Interesting things can be found there. But, helas, you can't search it. As it is separated in chapters, the browser built in search doesn't help to much.

Suggestion: offer the entire manual additionally in one long page. This allows to search in the browser without you having to build an index and anybody inclined to do so can print it on paper or into a pdf file (which is searchable again).

Thanks! That's great. You did the work I was to lazy to do, this is  embarrassing. Does Skydemon wants to avoid the hassle with circulating outdated manuals?

You can use Google to search online documentation by putting the site: keyword in your search. I agree there are benefits to combining the docs, but there are also benefits to keeping it separate. At the moment I don't see a compelling reason to change the way we produce it, though I'm open to suggestions.

Perhaps make both versions available (single HTML file or multiple ones)? It's quite a common approach when documenting software.

I suppose the main advantage of having it in a single PDF is that you have it available offline should you want it.

The documentation is really the least bit in this absolutely great program. It seems difficult to convince Tim to have the documentation offline. I missed so many nice details because of this.
