The problem you are now describing is not the original problem you posted about. You seem to be describing a hang now, whereas before there was an exception caused by the device not having software keyboard APIs that it reasonably should have. Can you give a more detailed explanation of the "new" problem (using a current 1.4.2 download), does the software get to the welcome screen, etc.
