I will ensure the Croatian FIS is included in this week's chart update too.

Yes, that's the one: Ljubljana Information on 118.475 MHz. Also, the flight is passing through Croatian airspace, so Zagreb Information should also be included (but wasn't). I just checked on the PC and here it seems that Ljubljana Information is included in the PLog.

Chris, can I confirm that you're referring to the 118.475 flight information service frequency?

Tony, Bournemouth is included because your route passes through the area of their LARS service. Southampton does not offer a LARS service. Goodwood should be added in the next version. Daventry CTA shouldn't be being included; we'll look in to that.

Chris, thanks for explaining. I wasn't aware you were referring to a general Flight Information Service frequency. You're absolutely correct that that should be being included on the PLOG and I will investigate to see why it isn't.

Chris, I do not believe we have frequencies for Croatia airfield yet. These are in development and will be in the next chart update. At 36nm, the distance from your route to LJLJ is too great for any frequencies to be included automatically.

Tim, the distance between routing and airport LJLJ is not relevant in this case. In the entire airspace of Slovenia, outside of a more particular CTR, Ljubljana Information provides air traffic services. The name "Ljubljana" is misleading in this case. Unless you're close to LJMB or LJPZ you will be talking to Ljubljana Information throughout the whole of Slovenia. The same, incidentally, is true for Croatia, Austria and Hungary (and many other countries). For example, you talk to Budapest Information hundreds of miles from LHBP (Budapest Ferihegy Airport).

To be useful I believe this needs to be taken into account for the frequency section of the PLog.

Thanks, -- Chris.

Hi Tim ,thanks for your comments, i still dont understand why it thinks i wouldn't need southanpton seeing as i was routing via hanky which is right on the corner /edge of their airspace but added bournmouth which is miles away. i'm not sure about the reason behind goodwood not being added as although in the opposite direction of my route it added a freq for the daventry cta.I hope it can be worked out as at the moment i'm having to got through plogs and routeS making sure and adding the missing freq by hand which is not ideal .

The algorithm that determines which frequencies to include on the PLOG is a somewhat complex one, designed to please as many people as possible while recognising that everyone has a different idea of which frequencies they'd like included on their PLOG.

Tony, Bembridge should have been included on your PLOG. The fact that it wasn't is a bug and this will be fixed for the 2.7.3 release. Southampton is just too far from your route to get automatically included. Chichester is an interesting case: the reason it's not being included is because it's not directly abeam your route, it's on a corner. This is something we have improved ready for the next release so you will see its frequency listed in the future.

I second that. The PLog often is missing frequencies that are eminently useful and often includes not so useful ones instead. Case at hand: on a flight from LJMB to LDRI the frequencies of Ljubljana Info and LDRI approach and tower were missing. These are arguably the two most important frequencies needed for this flight.

And the setting of "omit redundant frequencies" didn't change this.
