Whilst happily flying along using Skydemon today, my iPad got too hot and shut itself down. Fortunately I had a paper plog and had the chart handy. I put the iPad near a cool air vent and had it working again in 10 minutes.
I appreciate this problem is NOT down to Skydemon, but was wondering: 1) Is it possible for SkyDemon to read the internal temperature of the iPad, and issue a warning if it gets close to the shutdown point? 2) I suspect a lot of the heat is generated by running the display. We do not look at the display constantly, outside is far more important. Would it be possible to have a button at the edge of the screen that would dim the display, but leave everything else running? A tap anywhere on the screen would then bring full brightness back.
