LOL, just found the answer for time:
The trajectory display extending from the symbol can be switched off or set to display 2, 5 and 10 minutes or distance units away.

Hi, when in navigation mode, there are two options; time ahead & distance ahead (and off obviously).
But in either mode, what is the time or distance for the notches shown?
