used SD ipad for a trip from EGHH to EPEV.... worked 100%. A purchase you will never regret

Don't have too many hours with sd kn the iPad yet. But so far no problems at all.

Just one subscription covers the ipad, PC and other GPS units.

There's lots of info about the ipad on this forum, I don't use the ipad but some use it with the internal GPS and others with an external GPS, I don't remeber reading many problems about the gps signal but I'm sure others can advise better than me.

I've just started getting back into flying GA again after a long few months at the airlines stopped me from having the time, a friend showed me Sky Demon on his iPad the other day and I'm extremely interested in having this when I fly next! Few questions I do have though are how reliable is it when inflight using the iPad? Does it loose signal very often? How does this work? I'm also looking at getting the GPS unit itself but would naturally want the software on my laptop and also maybe my iPad, does this require three subscriptions? This could work out rather expensive, if that's the case I need to decide what is better to have, the GPS unit itself or the iPad? What do you guys reckon from your experience using the software? I'm very impressed with it!
