Reading CAA's Clued Up publication re Olympic restrictions etc, the rule seems to be that you need to file a flight plan (and get it approved in advance) if you plan to enter, exit or transit the Restricted Zone R112. If not, flights that did not previously need a flightplan, still do not need one.

Thats how I read it anyway.

Hi can anyone clear this up for me as I cant seem to find a clear answer, as from this Saturday do we need to file a flight plan if you avoid the resrictions imposed for the Olympics or do you have to file a flight plan regardless if you want to fly? E.G. Bmth to Compton avaoiding restrictions do you need to or not?
