My problem is that I cannot get weather or NOTAMS --- SkyDemon reports that my licence may have expired or be missing. Everything else (bar transferring user waypoints to the iPad and using Firefox to download stuff) seems to work properly. SD on my iPad can get weather and NOTAMS with no problems.

The copy of SkyDemon Plan is fully licenced and otherwise running happily in Windows XP SP3 under Parallels on my Mac Pro/OS X 10.6.8. SkyDemon is set as a trusted application in the Kaspersky I.S. firewall and I am not aware of anything else which would block the site.

Tim has confirmed that the licence is valid and not corrupted.

At this point, I am stumped. Clearly something is wrongly set but I have no idea wht that might be. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Just to update this issue in case anyone else has the same problem.

Parallels was running in Shared networking mode and both the Mac and the Windows installations had firewall software installed. There was some clash between the two firewalls.

Setting Parallels into Bridged networking mode resolved the issue.

As Steve says, the problem was resolved by changing Parallels to use Bridged network connection. Further investigation suggests that it was less a clash between firewalls but rather an issue with VirusBarrier on the Mac. I haven't got to the bottom of it and don't need to bother anyway since SD now works as expected.

I did use the web based version for a while but found it difficult to get the fonts up to an easily readable size. I could have pursued that avenue but since I wanted to run Plan and Nav on the iPad I got the full licence and prefer using the native version even if it does run only on Win systems. I suspect that the fonts were a manifestation of the same VirusBarrier blockage but, again, don't really have time to sort it out when I've (now, and thanks to Steve) got the native version working properly.
