Hei! I'm having the problem planning vfr flight from lime to EDNY as well.

Maybe there is something wrong in the map between north Italy and south of Germany (BodenSee) ?

It is a couple of week that I am using Skydemon now and this is the first route/map with which I'm having problems.

Yes, I already uninstalled SD on the three pc and reinstalled it downloading it from this web site.

Please find enclosed a route file that cause the problem just opening it.

The only chance to avoid the problem is to quickly zoom out the map immediately after having loaded the file.

I have the same problem. I am trying to plan a route across FIR boundaries from LIRU to EDNY but SD crashes with the Windows diag message "SkyDemon.exe has stopped working". The same happens with shorter routes crossing the Italian FIR border with Austria and Switzerland.

Sorry to hear that you are having all this trouble, but whilst I don't understand all the technical information you have posted, I can't see it being a widespread problem within the skydemon program , because this version has been out for some time and this is the first time this problem has been reported. I run a PC and laptop with Win 7. 64 bit and have just tried zooming in and out very quickly and repeatedly with no adverse issues, printing isn't a problem either. I take it you have uninstalled and downloaded a new version from the site to re-install in case something has corrupted. Good luck with it and hope someone comes along with a solution for you.

first of all I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Alfredo, I'm from Italy and I own a PPL.

I normally flight from Orio al Serio (LIME).

I'm testing SkyDemon and seems to me an excellent program. I was using flitestar from Jeppesen for flight planning and Massan for Ipad as navigator. Anyway Skydemon is far better then the two sw together.

Anyway I'm writing because is happening something strange in the last days.

When I'm planning, suddenly SkyDemon stop working and I get the "usual" Windows message "SkyDemon stopped working".

It seems to me something related with map/zoom.

Additionally another showstop error appeared try to print the map, I past the details of the error below.

I am using a Windows 7 64 bit pc with operating system in italian.

I try three different pc (2 midtower and one notebook, getting the same result.

Should someone having an idea on how to solve, it would be great.

Of course I'm more than available for any test.
