Group: Forum Members Posts: 6, Visits: 25	Hi all, can an iPad 2 wifi only be tethered to an iPhone 4, for in flight navigation? Or do you have to buy an ipad 3G. Any ideas?

Group: Moderators Posts: 593, Visits: 4.9K	Neither What you need is an external GPS. The two I have tested and found to work perfectly are:- Bad Elf (wired) GNS5870 (bluetooth) Someone else has reported that the Dual XPGS150 also works fine. Regards, Steve

Group: Forum Members Posts: 25, Visits: 119	I would go for one of the external GPSs, which you can place in the optimum site in your a/c. Not sure about the Dual XPGS150 but the slick on/off swipe 'feature' on the 5870 is hit and miss in my experience - drives me nuts.
