Today I've encountered major issues with SD Plan, for the first time.

When trying to update the UK and France charts, the downloads hang part way through, and after 30 seconds or so, the SD program will terminate. This happens whether each of the countries are selected individually, or together.

Reinstalling the software has no effect, although it is noticeable that after a fresh reinstall, the chart status dialogue panel is refreshed quite quickly, whereas after just a restart of the program, it takes significant time to gather the chart statuses and display them.

Environment is a fully up-to-date W7, running in Parallels 6 on a Mac. Charts are UK CAA, and only UK and France were loaded. SD is V2.2.0.31077 and I've taken a fresh download from the website. I would add that the package has run faultlessly up to now, but I'm not sure whether I have launched it since a bunch of MS updates I applied a few days ago, including what looke like some significant .NET framework patches.

It seems as though things are back to normal again.



I managed to load a couple of the smaller chart datasets - Benelux and Austria. They downloaded quite quickly and installed without any issues.



It seems the problem was with the longer time it takes to download the larger country chart files, but that glitch seems to have cleared up now, as I have managed to reinstall both the UK and France. Either a network problem or a problem with the site itself was causing the downloads to suspend halfway through, which eventually timed out the program.
