Chatting with a friend just now, who was uncertain whether a UK Danger Area was active or not based on its depiction in SD on his iPhone.

We checked the NOTAMs, and it wasn't, however we noted that the depiction was different to that on my Android device.

The DA in question is EG D148 around Keevil.

Android showed the DA as pale when inactive, which is helpfully unambiguous:

His iPhone (screenshot taken at same time, both devices having an Internet connection) doesn't have the same pale depiction - hence his uncertainty.

Are we missing something? Or is there the opportunity to make the iOS depiction similar to that in the Android implementation? (ie pale when inactive, darker only when NOTAM is present)

If you change the Map style to Skydemon instead of UK CAA/NATS you will get same picture.
I don't knwi if it's a bug or a feature.

Ah, yes! Thank you. Nothing to do with iOS and Android - it's the chart type, and the SD one is clearer we think.

Disregard!
